Hunter Biden has kicked up a storm after responding to criticism from President Donald Trump with a pointed post on X on Thursday.
The son of former President Joe Biden mocked Trump’s references to his “checkered past,” writing: “Wait…Did he just say checkered past? I’m 28 felonies, 6 bankruptcies, and an Epstein bromance short of his checkered past.” It was in reply to Trump’s scathing take when asked about the possibility of Hunter running for president in 2028.

Who is Hunter Biden’s wife, Melissa Cohen?
Hunter Biden is currently married to Melissa Cohen Biden, a South African filmmaker and activist. The couple married in May 2019, just six days after meeting each other. The couple has persevered through years of legal disputes, congressional probes, and intense public attention despite their quick courtship.
The couple welcomed a son, Beau Biden Jr., named in honor of Hunter’s late brother, former Delaware Attorney General Beau Biden, who died of brain cancer in 2015.
Cohen has largely stayed out of partisan politics but has publicly supported her husband during court appearances and legal proceedings. Hunter, in his memoir, Beautiful Things, describes how Cohen completely changed his life.
Kathleen Buhle: Hunter Biden’s first wife
Hunter was previously married to Kathleen Buhle in 1993, with whom he had three daughters: Maisy, Finnegan, and Naomi Biden, before he wed Cohen.
According to Buhle’s interview with Good Morning America, their marriage suffered because of Hunter’s “massive drug addiction” and infidelity as he catered to his “pleasures” extravagantly. His vices left the family in financial distress.
The couple divorced in 2017, citing infidelity as the “final straw.”
Hallie Biden relationship drew national attention
One of the most widely discussed chapters of Hunter Biden’s personal life involved Hallie Biden, the widow of his brother Beau Biden. Their relationship became public in 2017 after Buhle and Hunter’s divorce was finalized.
Hallie Biden later emerged as a key witness in Hunter Biden’s federal gun case. During court proceedings, she testified about Hunter’s drug use and recounted finding a firearm in his vehicle in 2018.
According to the Capital Gazette, Hallie moved to Annapolis, Maryland, with her children. The outlet reported that Hunter was also registered as a resident at Annapolis. The couple broke it off in 2019.

Who is Lunden Roberts?
People reported that Hunter Biden has a fifth child, a daughter named Navy. In August 2018, Hunter fathered the kid with Lunden Roberts, an Arkansas lady, as was disclosed in November 2019.
Roberts filed a lawsuit against Hunter to get a paternity test and pay child support, alleging that they were romantically involved and that he was the kid’s father. Hunter refuted these claims. However, in the end, a paternity test established his fatherhood for Roberts and his daughter, Navy.
In a 2023 statement, former president Joe Biden defended his son and said, “Our son Hunter and Navy’s mother, Lunden, are working together to foster a relationship that is in the best interests of their daughter, preserving her privacy as much as possible going forward. This is not a political issue; it’s a family matter. Jill and I only want what is best for all of our grandchildren, including Navy.”
Hunter was born to Joe and Neilia Hunter Biden. However, the ex-president’s first wife died in a car accident, along with Hunter’s infant sister, Naomi. After Joe Biden’s marriage to Jill, she became Hunter’s mother figure.
