Hansi Flick named La Liga Coach of the Season after Barcelona title defence

Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick has been named La Liga Coach of the Year for the 2025-26 season after guiding the club to another league title.

Flick’s Barcelona side finished eight points clear of rivals Real Madrid and secured the championship with three games still remaining.

Back-to-back recognition for Flick

The award marks a second consecutive Coach of the Year honour for Flick, following another highly consistent season in charge of the Catalan club.

His team also set a strong benchmark at home, completing a perfect La Liga campaign at their stadium by winning all 19 matches.

Strong statistical dominance across the season

Barcelona finished the season with 31 wins from 38 matches, alongside one draw and six defeats. They ended with a +59 goal difference, scoring 95 goals and conceding 36.

The numbers reflect a balanced side that combined attacking efficiency with defensive control throughout the campaign.

New contract signals long-term project

Following the La Liga title win, Flick extended his contract with Barcelona until 2028.

He will now aim to build on the success and push for a third consecutive league title in the next campaign.
