Fire Destroys Vehicle Inside Polaris Bank Tower In Lagos

A parked vehicle was destroyed by fire at the Polaris Bank Tower on Lagos Island on Thursday, according to the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service.

The incident happened on the third floor of the 17-storey building located at 61/65 Broad Street, which also serves as a parking facility.

Emergency responders were quickly deployed after receiving a distress call.

Firefighters prevent wider damage

The Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service said the alert was received around 11:33 a.m.

Firefighters from the Ebute Elefun and Sari Iganmu Fire Stations were sent to the scene and successfully contained the blaze.

The agency said the quick response stopped the fire from spreading to other vehicles and parts of the building.

No injuries recorded

Authorities confirmed that the damage was limited to the affected saloon car and nearby areas.

No deaths or injuries were reported from the incident.

The fire service said normal activities have returned to the area after the operation was completed.
