The governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the 2027 Benue State election, Michael Aondoakaa (SAN), has received his Certificate of Return from the party’s leadership.
The certificate was presented to Aondoakaa on Wednesday at the PDP National Secretariat, Wadata Plaza, Abuja, following his emergence as the party’s flagbearer for the 2027 governorship election.
The former Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice was accompanied to the ceremony by his running mate, Dr. Oyije Ochaekiti Ogbenjuwa, as well as other prominent party leaders and stakeholders from Benue State.
Speaking after receiving the certificate, Aondoakaa expressed appreciation to the leadership and members of the PDP for the confidence reposed in him.
He pledged to justify the trust placed in him by working diligently to unite the party and lead it to victory in the 2027 governorship election.
The event also witnessed the presentation of a Certificate of Return to former First Lady of Benue State, Dr. Eunice Ortom, who emerged as the PDP senatorial candidate for Benue North-West Senatorial District (Zone B).
Aondoakaa and Ortom were among several PDP candidates across the country who received their certificates of return from the party on the same day.
The presentation marks another milestone in the PDP’s preparations for the 2027 general election as the party intensifies efforts to reclaim power in Benue State and strengthen its presence at the National Assembly.
