A tourism expert, Mr Bayo Ilesami, has urged authorities to sustain the maintenance of the Epe Museum to boost tourist patronage.
Ilesami, the Managing Partner at Santa Waterfront, Epe, Lagos State, made the appeal in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Monday in Lagos.
He noted that tourism could become a major revenue earner for the local government council if the sector was properly harnessed and prioritised.
The museum, situated in a serene environment, houses artworks, cultural artefacts, photographs, the historic Epe Local Court, and various traditional relics that evoke nostalgia.
Ilesami commended the council for its efforts in maintaining the facility and preserving the rich cultural heritage of the area.
He described Epe as a natural sanctuary, offering a peaceful escape for visitors seeking refuge from the noisy and polluted urban environment.
The expert recommended the installation of modern digital facilities at the museum to enhance visitor patronage and transform it into a hub during festivals.

“Every corner of the museum tells a unique story, every exhibit preserves a legacy, and every visit leaves tourists inspired.
