BUK Alumni FCT Chapter to Hold Aerobics, Games Day in Abuja
The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Chapter of the Bayero University Kano Alumni Association (BUKAA) has announced plans to host an Aerobics Exercise and Games Day as part of initiatives aimed at promoting healthy lifestyles, strengthening alumni relationships, and enhancing member engagement.
The event is scheduled to hold on Saturday, July 4, 2026, at Soho24 Sports Park, opposite AA Rano Filling Station along the Banex/Gwarimpa Expressway, Abuja, beginning at 7:30 a.m.
Chairman of the BUKAA FCT Chapter, Alhassan Mohammed, said the programme is designed to provide a platform for alumni to reconnect, network, and deepen the bonds of friendship and fraternity while encouraging physical fitness and wellness.
According to him, participants will take part in a variety of sporting and recreational activities, including aerobics, football, handball, lawn tennis, and other games.
Mohammed explained that the initiative aligns with the vision of the current executive committee to keep members actively involved through programmes that promote unity, healthy living, and a stronger sense of community among alumni.
“This initiative reflects the commitment of the current EXCO to engage members through meaningful activities that foster wellness, togetherness, friendship, and the enduring spirit of Bayero University Kano,” he said.
He encouraged members of the association to attend in large numbers and take advantage of the opportunity to celebrate camaraderie, teamwork, and the values that unite graduates of the institution.
The chairman added that the event would also serve as an avenue for members to interact informally, exchange ideas, and strengthen professional and social networks within the alumni community.
The association urged participants to come prepared with enthusiasm, sporting attire, and what it described as the “BUK spirit” for what promises to be an exciting and memorable gathering.
The Bayero University Kano Alumni Association is a network of graduates committed to promoting fellowship, professional development, and support for the growth and advancement of their alma mater.
