National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Nentawe Yilwatda, has expressed confidence that the party will clinch victory in the upcoming Ekiti State governorship election, citing Governor Abiodun Oyebanji’s performance in office and the strong support he enjoys among residents.
Yilwatda made this known in a post on social media on Tuesday, following his participation in the APC’s mega rally in Ekiti State alongside Vice President Kashim Shettima, members of the National Working Committee, governors, and other party leaders.
He noted that the massive turnout at the rally was a clear reflection of the governor’s popularity and acceptance across the state, adding that residents appeared eager to reward his performance with a second term.
According to the APC chairman, Oyebanji had lived up to the trust placed in him by the people through the construction and rehabilitation of roads, investments in education, and policies geared toward strengthening human capital development.
He observed that the impact of the administration’s achievements was visible across the state, which he said had earned the governor widespread confidence and support from the electorate.
Yilwatda expressed optimism that the party would secure victory in the election, attributing this to the governor’s track record and the backing of Ekiti residents.
He explained that under Oyebanji’s leadership, several critical roads had been built and rehabilitated, opening up communities and boosting economic activities, while his government had also created a conducive learning environment for students through notable investments in education and human capital development.
He added that evidence of good governance was visible across Ekiti, noting that residents recognised and took pride in the governor’s achievements, which he said explained why thousands turned out voluntarily to show their support and reaffirm confidence in his leadership.
