Adefulire Hails UN Deputy Chief Amina Mohammed at 65: ‘A Beacon of Hope’

Princess Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and former Deputy Governor of Lagos State, has extended warm congratulations to the UN Deputy Secretary-General, Amina J. Mohammed, on her 65th birthday.

In a statement released on Saturday, Orelope-Adefulire lauded Ms Mohammed as an inspirational figure who has acted with boldness and an unwavering commitment to leaving no one behind.

“As you celebrate another year of grace and impact, may your light continue to shine brighter, your strength be renewed, and your enduring legacy of hope and service inspire generations to come,” the Presidential aide said.

The SSAP-SDGs further described the UN-DSG as a proud daughter of Africa and Nigeria, and a global icon whose vision and courage continue to shape a better world.

Orelope-Adefulire noted that Ms Mohammed had become a beacon of hope and a trailblazer, championing the domestication of the SDGs across nations and ensuring their integration into national development frameworks.

She wished the Deputy Secretary-General many more years of service to humanity and her fatherland, reaffirming Nigeria’s pride in her remarkable contributions on the global stage.
