2027 elections: Adamawa PDP presents certificate of return to assembly candidates

The Peoples Democratic Party ( PDP)  in Adamawa state, loyal to Barrister Tanimu Turaki led  caretaker committee, has issued certificates of return and INEC form EC 13  and form EC 9  obtained from INEC Headquarters to all the 25  party House of Assembly candidates across various constituencies.

Presenting the certificate on Friday in Yola, Adamawa state interim PDP chairman, Mr. Elmond Dogo, congratulated the candidates for their emergence at the primaries and urged them to work assiduously with other party stakeholders in their various constituencies to win the general election.

He noted that the INEC portal has been open for political parties to submit names and details of their candidates for various elective positions.

He further denied  any crisis or faction within the party  as believed in some quarters,  stressing that PDP is one family headed by Tanimu  Turaki led caretaker committee.

According to him, INEC only recognised Tanimu Turaki led excos as the authentic national leaders of the party, hence the decision to hand over INEC forms and certificates of return to them  for onward distributions to their candidates to fill.

The chairman further expressed optimism that the party will win the election and take over the state come 2027going by the overwhelming supports  it enjoyed across the state, especially at the grassroots levels as  witnessed during the recent local government elections in the state where the party won  all the 21 local Governments  and 226  electoral wards in the state.

Most of the candidates interviewed, commended the party excos at both the state and the national level for their tireless efforts and unwavering commitment to salvage and rebuild the party, assuring them of their loyalty and readiness to work with them and other party stakeholders to return Nigeria and Adamawa back to PDP.

They also assured that they will deliver the party and win their election to the state House of Assembly, calling on the people of Adamawa state, and Nigerians to rally round the PDP to salvage the country from APC misrule come 2027.
