2026 UTME: JAMB Opens Portal for Printing of Original Result Slips

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced that the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) Original Result Slip will be available for printing from Wednesday, June 17, 2026.

In a statement obtained by Persecondnews on Wednesday, JAMB’s spokesperson, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, said the result slip contains essential security and identification features required for candidates’ admission processing into tertiary institution.

“The slip carries important details that authenticate a candidate’s result and make it a vital document during post-UTME screening and admission consideration,” he said.

Benjamin said candidates can access and print the Original Result Slip from any internet enabled device, either at home, in offices or through accredited business centres.

He urged candidates to carefully check the information displayed on the document and retain copies for future use.

“Candidates should ensure all personal and examination details are correct after printing and keep the document safely for subsequent admission processes,” he added.

This keeps the original script structure and straight news style while avoiding direct repetition of the statement.

Persecondnews recalls that the main 2026 UTME was conducted in April, while a supplementary examination took place on June 13 for candidates who experienced technical challenges or biometric verification issues during the initial exercise.

The examination body released the supplementary examination results on June 16 after completing the necessary processes.

However, the delay in the printing of the Original Result Slip was to accommodate foreign based candidates and conclude the mop up exercise, following JAMB’s appeal for patience on May 19.

With the release of the printable slips, candidates can now proceed with admission processes for the 2026/2027 academic session as many tertiary institutions have commenced or are preparing to begin their post-UTME registration.
