The Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company Plc (IBEDC) has raised thealarm over the abduction of two of its staff members by suspected gunmen.
IBEDC in a statement on Monday said the two abducted staff members under Ogun region were abducted on Wednesday, April 29, 2026 along the Ijebu Ode – Ibadan road by the gunmen.
In the statement, IBEDC expressed concerns about the abduction and that it was working closely with the security agencies to ensure the safe return of the abducted two of its staff members.
“We are deeply concerned about this situation, and our thoughts are with our colleagues and their families at this difficult time.
IBEDC is working closely with relevant security agencies to ensure the safe return of the affected staff,” it said.
IBEDC added, “We are also in active engagement with their families, providing the necessary support.
“Given the sensitive nature of this incident and ongoing efforts to resolve it, we are unable to provide further details at this time.
“We kindly request understanding and restraint as we prioritize the safety and well-being of those involved. We will provide updates as appropriate”.
