Celebrity entrepreneur Emeka Okonkwo, popularly known as E-Money, has fulfilled his promise of a substantial cash reward for comedian Carter Efe following his headline-grabbing boxing win over singer Portable in Lagos.
Ahead of the bout, Portable had expressed strong confidence, boasting about securing a third boxing title based on his earlier exhibition victories against Charles Okocha, Kelvin Power, and Speed Darlington.
Despite the pre-fight bravado, Carter Efe dominated the contest across three rounds, earning a unanimous decision victory at the widely publicised “Chaos in the Ring” event after weeks of heated exchanges between both entertainers.
Speaking after the event, Balmoral Group Promotions CEO, Ezekiel Adamu, praised the turnout and overall success of the show. He noted that the organisers delivered on their promise of excitement and appreciated everyone who contributed to the event’s success.
“We said it would be Chaos in the Ring, and we delivered an entertaining night of fights. There’s more to come. Thank you to everyone involved and to the fighters for putting on a great show,” he said.
Moments later, E-Money stepped forward to celebrate Carter Efe’s victory. Reaffirming his reputation for keeping his word, he announced a N50 million cash prize for the comedian.
“You know we stand by what we say. Congratulations, Carter, on your victory. N50 million is yours,” he declared.
