BREAKING: Obi, Kwankwaso formally join NDC

Peter Obi, the 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), and Rabiu Kwankwaso, former governor of Kano, have formally joined the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC).

Obi and Kwakwanso joined the NDC on Sunday amid lingering leadership crisis facing the ADC.

The duo earlier met with the national leader of the NDC, Senator Seriake Dickson and other party executives on Sunday.

At an unveiling ceremony on Sunday, the NDC party leaders raised the hands of Messrs Obi and Kwakwanso, while announcing their official registration with the party, with the duo showing of their NDC party membership cards.

Speaking at the unveiling, Mr Kwankwaso urged members of the Kwakwansiya movement to join and support the NDC, advocating wider participation of his supporters in the party.

Meanwhile, Mr Obi advised party members against resorting to litigation, urging them to settle party-related issues internally.
