The Ebonyi state government has called for unity within the All Progressives Congress (APC) family, following a series of stakeholder engagement meetings aimed at strengthening the party ahead of future political activities.
Governor Francis Nwifuru, in a statement signed by his chief press secretary, Dr. Monday Uzor, expressed appreciation to party stakeholders for their active participation and valuable contributions during the meetings.
He noted that the engagements were focused on charting a collective path forward for the APC in the state.
The governor reaffirmed that the APC in Ebonyi remains a united and indivisible family, stressing that all aspirants seeking various elective positions would be treated fairly, in line with agreements reached by stakeholders.
Addressing speculations of internal discord, Nwifuru dismissed claims of a rift between him and the Minister of Works, David Umahi, describing such reports as false and handiwork of individuals attempting to sow division.
On the issue of consensus candidacy, the governor assured that any lingering concerns would be resolved amicably through dialogue and mutual understanding among party members.
He further disclosed plans to engage directly with all aspirants, signaling his commitment to inclusiveness and internal democracy within the party structure.
