2027: House of Reps aspirant hails endorsement of Mbah, Tinubu

A frontline aspirant for the Igboetiti/Uzo-Uwani Federal Constituency seat,  Engr. Ucheonwu Prince-Henry Hart, has described the recent endorsement of Enugu State Governor, Peter Mbah, and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu by stakeholders in Enugu North Senatorial District as a strong affirmation of purposeful leadership and effective governance.

Hart, who spoke with journalists shortly after a mega rally held in Nsukka at the weekend, said the overwhelming turnout and the donation of N102 million in support of Governor Mbah’s re-election bid underscored the people’s confidence in both leaders.

“What we witnessed in Nsukka was not just a political gathering, but a spontaneous expression of the people’s will.

“The endorsement of Governor Mbah and President Tinubu is rooted in visible results and a shared commitment to development,” he said.

The aspirant noted that the financial contribution made at the rally was more than symbolic, describing it as a demonstration of collective trust and a willingness by the people to sustain ongoing development efforts in the state.

“The N102 million donation is not just about money; it is a statement of support, unity and collective resolve to move Enugu State forward. It shows that the people are willing to invest in leadership that works,” Hart added.

He commended Governor Mbah’s performance, particularly in infrastructure, education, and healthcare, which he said has earned the governor widespread acceptance across the state.

“From road infrastructure to smart schools and improved healthcare delivery, the governor has demonstrated capacity and vision. These are the reasons the people are rallying behind him for a second term,” he said.

On the endorsement of President Tinubu, Hart stressed the need for continuity at the federal level, noting that ongoing economic and structural reforms require time to fully materialize.

“As a nation, we must stay the course. The President’s policies are geared towards long-term stability and economic growth, and this endorsement reflects the understanding and patience of our people,” he stated.

Reaffirming his ambition to represent Igboetiti/Uzo-Uwani Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hart pledged to align with both state and federal development agendas if elected.

“I am committed to serving with integrity and purpose. My aspiration is driven by the need to complement ongoing efforts and ensure that our constituency benefits more from government policies and programmes,” he said.

The rally, organised by the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Enugu North Senatorial District, drew a broad spectrum of participants, including political leaders, traditional rulers, women and youth groups, and members of the business community.

Observers say the event marks a significant early political statement ahead of the 2027 general elections, with the senatorial district signaling support for continuity in leadership at both the state and national levels.
