President Donald Trump on Thursday vowed the US would destroy any vessel laying mines within the Strait of Hormuz as he ratchets up stress on Iran to reopen the essential sea passage.
“I’ve ordered the US Navy to shoot and kill any boat, small boats although they could be… that’s placing mines within the waters of the Strait of Hormuz,” Trump posted.
