The Ondo state chapter of the South West Agenda for Asiwaju (SWAGA) Wednesday formally flagged off the second-term marketing campaign of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, with Governor Fortunate Aiyedatiwa pledging a minimal of 1 million votes for the president within the 2027 election.
The occasion, held on the Worldwide Convention Centre, The Dome, Akure, was led by the state chief of the group, Honourable Abegunde Ifedayo, alongside different political stakeholders and supporters.
Governor Aiyedatiwa recalled his early affiliation with SWAGA, noting that the group had proven foresight by backing Tinubu at a time many doubted his probabilities of changing into President.
“About 4 years in the past, when SWAGA was shaped, many individuals didn’t give our present president an opportunity. However SWAGA was visionary; they noticed what others couldn’t see,” the governor stated.
Additionally talking, Senator Adedayo Adeyeye recounted the group’s nationwide marketing campaign efforts, noting that SWAGA had taken its message throughout a number of states, together with Kogi, Kwara, Nasarawa, Plateau, Benue, and Akwa Ibom.
