Samuel Ajose secures APC nomination form for gubernatorial seat in Lagos
Samuel Ajose, a Lagos State governorship aspirant has purchased the All Progressives Congress (APC) nomination and expression of interest forms ahead of the 2027 general election.
Ajose announced that he successfully purchased the forms in a post he made on X on Wednesday, April 28, 2026.
According to Ajose, he is taking a step forward in his aspiration to serve his people as the governor of Lagos State under the platform of the APC.
Ajose, who had earlier accused the state’s Deputy Governor, Obafemi Hamzat, of avoiding a direct contest by pushing for consensus instead of participating in party primaries, said for him, this moment is bigger than any political process.
He said, “I have officially picked up my nomination and expression of interest forms, taking a definitive step forward in my aspiration to serve as Governor of Lagos State on the platform of our great party, the APC.
This moment is bigger than a political process. It is a personal commitment to purposeful leadership, inclusive governance, and the kind of progress that every Lagosian can feel and point to,” Ajose said.
He further noted that his resolve to contest for Lagos number one seat is rooted in service, anchored in a clear vision, and driven by one conviction – that Lagos deserves development which reaches every community, creates real opportunities for its people, and leaves no one behind.
“I begin this journey with humility, courage, and complete faith in God and in the good people of Lagos. Together, we are building something this state will be proud of. Irorun Ipinle Eko 2027,” Ajose stated.
The governorship aspirant ended the photo post on X with several hashtags including #SMAGold #SamuelMawuyonAjose #LovingLagosForward #Lagos2027.
In another post, he urged his supporters to join the SMA Movement for an insight into his aspirations and his vision ahead of the polls.
He wrote, “Beyond the headlines, the real work continues across communities.
