Police raid prison hideout in Enugu, destroy drug bunks, arrest suspect


Operatives of the Enugu state Police command hooked up to the Anti-Cultism Tactical Squad, have raided suspected prison hideouts at New Artisan, Enugu.

Throughout the operation, one male suspect, Francisco Olugba,  29, was arrested and a few objects recovered from him.

Portions of suspected Hashish Sativa, baggage containing garments fairly suspected to have been stolen from victims, 11 SIM playing cards of varied community suppliers, a pair of scissors and different reveals had been recovered throughout the operation.

Police picture maker, Daniel Ndukwe, stated the operatives additionally dismantled drug peddling and consumption hubs, disrupting associated prison actions within the space and destroyed makeshift constructions (“bunks”) used for such functions.

“Investigations are ongoing to apprehend different members of the prison community and uncover the complete extent of their operations,” Ndukwe acknowledged.
