The Kwara State Police Command has arrested 42 unlawful miners in reference to the kidnapping of a standard ruler, Oba Salman Olátúnjí Aweda, his spouse, and others in Olayinka group, Ifelodun Native Authorities Space.
The monarch and his spouse have been reportedly kidnapped final Saturday evening when suspected bandits stormed his palace whereas they have been asleep.
Confirming the event, the Commissioner of Police, Adekimi Ojo, stated the command launched an instantaneous operation utilizing drones and different safety assets, resulting in the arrest of the suspects.
In line with him, about 10 armed attackers invaded the palace shortly after miners had earlier paid homage to the monarch, demanding cash allegedly given to him throughout the go to.
