Two individuals have been confirmed lifeless, whereas three others sustained accidents following an explosion at a petroleum station in Bokkos Native Authorities Space of Plateau State on Saturday.
The Plateau State Police Command Public Relations Officer, SP Alfred Alabo, confirmed the incident in an announcement, clarifying that it was an industrial accident and never a bomb blast as initially reported on-line.
Alabo mentioned deceptive reviews suggesting a bomb explosion and outbreak of violence within the state had been false and able to inflicting panic.
“The Plateau State Police Command has been drawn to sure false, deceptive and alarmist reviews presently circulating, alleging that there was a bomb blast and outbreak of disaster in Plateau State,” the assertion mentioned.
In accordance with the police, the explosion occurred at Natty Petroleum Funding Nigeria Ltd throughout restore work on an underground storage tank.
“The Plateau State Police Command acquired a report of an explosion which occurred at Natty Petroleum Funding Nigeria Ltd, a filling station positioned in Daffo District, whereas welding restore works had been being carried out by artisans,” the assertion added.
