President Bola Tinubu is assembly with governors elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
The assembly, initially scheduled for 4pm on the council chamber, started round 5pm after it was moved to the convention room of the president’s workplace.
Governors in attendance embrace Babagana Zulum of Borno, Hope Uzodimma of Imo, Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe, Hyacinth Alia of Benue, Biodun Oyebanji of Ekiti, Peter Mbah of Enugu, and AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara, amongst others.
Some states are represented by their deputy governors. The aim of the assembly had not been disclosed as of the time of submitting this report.
The assembly comes hours after Tinubu held an emergency closed-door session with the management of the Senate.
