Ebonyi: Abakaliki Catholic Bishop d!es, governor mourns


Ebonyi state authorities has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of His Lordship, Most Rev. Dr. Peter Nworie Chukwu, the third Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Abakaliki, describing his demise as a monumental loss to the Church and society.

In an announcement issued on Saturday, Governor Francis Nwifuru stated he acquired the information of the Bishop’s transition “with a coronary heart weighed down by deep sorrow, but comforted by the everlasting guarantees of God.”
