Update: As of 10:45 p.m. EDT, Discord was functioning normally for users in the United States following a brief outage on Tuesday evening.
According to Downdetector, no new outage reports had been recorded since around 4 p.m. Additionally, there were no fresh reports of errors circulating on social media.
Discord has not publicly responded to the outage reports and has not provided a reason for the disruption.

Initial report: Discord is down for thousands of users across the United States, with outage reports beginning around 3:25 p.m. EDT Tuesday, according to Downdetector. Users say the app is “stuck on loading” or not opening. By 3:33 p.m. EDT, more than 15,000 reports had been logged.
One user reported, “Cant even send msgs in discord.”
Another wrote, “Anyone has the same problem like some servers dont load and looks like u got ban.”
A third person wrote, “I have multiple servers that just disappeared.”
Another user expressed, “So, I’m not the only one with missing servers? Great Discord.”
Another added, “God damnit discord, your going to the timeout corner.”

Discord experienced several short-lived disruptions in March.
March 25–26, 2026: A major voice and chat outage affected users globally. Many reported being stuck on “Awaiting Endpoint” errors, with voice calls, video, and general connectivity failing for several hours. Discord later classified the incident as a “major outage” on its status page, with some reports indicating it lasted more than three hours.
March 9, 2026: A widespread platform outage impacted millions of users. Reports included failed message delivery, “Messages Failed to Load” errors, issues accessing servers and guilds, and general connectivity problems. Downdetector recorded nearly 23,000 reports at its peak.
