The Centre for Info Know-how and Improvement (CITAD) has launched a brand new undertaking aimed toward narrowing the gender digital divide and enhancing {economic} alternatives for girls in Northern Nigeria.
The undertaking, titled: ‘Addressing the Gender Digital Divide and Increasing Enterprise Alternatives for Ladies in Northern Nigeria (Agenda-WINNIG),’ will present ladies and women with digital abilities and coaching to assist them take part successfully within the digital economic system.
Ms. Fatima Babakura, the undertaking officer for Agenda-WINNIG, outlined the initiative throughout a sequence of city corridor conferences throughout the three senatorial districts of Kano state. The conferences have been held in Rano for Kano South, Bichi for Kano North, and Kano Municipal for Kano Central, Monday.
Babakura stated the undertaking, which can run for 18 months, targets Kano and Bauchi states.
“The undertaking is designed to scale back the gender digital divide by equipping ladies and women with related digital abilities.
