Following the recent legal victory at the apex court, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has officially updated its records to reflect the David Mark-led executive as the authentic leadership of the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
A series of checks conducted by POLITICS NIGERIA on the commissionâs official portal on Thursday, April 30, at approximately 10:00 pm, confirmed that the names of the former Senate President and his team have been restored.
This administrative update effectively ends a period of leadership uncertainty that saw the partyâs portal presence temporarily suspended due to conflicting court directives.
The commissionâs move is a direct response to the judicial clearance granted earlier in the day.
Recall, Politics Nigeria earlier reported today that the Supreme Court today affirmed the leadership of David Mark, after nullifying a previous âstatus quoâ order from the Court of Appeal that had forced the electoral umpire to strip the faction of its recognition.
The apex court described the lower courtâs interference as âunnecessary, unwarranted, and improper,â thereby clearing the path for Mark and the National Secretary, Rauf Aregbesola, to resume their roles fully.Â
