The Federal Authorities has ordered the closure of entry roads across the Federal Secretariat complicated and Eagle Sq. in Abuja.
The directive was contained in a round issued on Thursday by the Workplace of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation.
In accordance with the round, the street closure will take impact from Friday, March 27 to Saturday, March 28, 2026.
The round stated the closure is because of using Eagle Sq. for the nationwide conference of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
“All Ministries, Further-Ministerial Departments, Businesses and Workplaces positioned throughout the Federal Secretariat, Phases I, II & III are hereby knowledgeable of the closure of all entry roads resulting in and across the stated Federal Secretariat Advanced, from Friday, twenty seventh to Saturday, twenty eighth March, 2026,” the round reads.
The federal government additionally directed staff whose workplaces are positioned inside phases I, II and III of the federal secretariat complicated and the ministry of international affairs to earn a living from home on Friday.
“Accordingly, all personnel whose workplaces are positioned inside Phases I, II and III of the Federal Secretariat Advanced in addition to the Ministry of Overseas Affairs, are to earn a living from home on Friday, twenty seventh March, 2026,” the round reads.
The round urged everlasting secretaries and heads of companies to make sure their employees adjust to the directive.
The doc was signed by Abdul S. U. Garba, everlasting secretary, service welfare workplace, for the top of the civil service of the federation.
