Hajiya Umma El-Rufai, mom of former Kaduna State governor Malam Nasir El-Rufai, has handed away.
Her grandson, Hon Bello El-Rufai, confirmed her loss of life on Friday afternoon, writing on Fb: “Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un. From Allah SWT we got here and to Him we will all return. My grandmother, Hajiya Umma El-Rufai, handed away a couple of hours in the past. We’re grateful for the life she lived and pray for her light soul.”
The information comes whereas Nasir El-Rufai is in custody.
The Unbiased Corrupt Practices and Different Associated Offences Fee (ICPC) had arraigned him on a 10-count cost together with alleged conversion of public property and cash laundering.
He pleaded not responsible to all prices.
In the meantime, a Federal Excessive Courtroom in Kaduna has adjourned his bail listening to to March 31.
