Zamfara intensifies battle towards drug abuse amongst youths


The Zamfara State Authorities has introduced important progress in its efforts to fight drug abuse amongst younger folks.

 Governor Dauda Lawal revealed this whereas addressing a safety summit themed, “Strengthening Campus Safety and Addressing Issues Associated to Drug Abuse Inside Our Establishments,” organized by the Nationwide Affiliation of Nigerian College students (NANS), Zamfara State Chapter, on the Federal School of Schooling, Technical Gusau Saturday.

Governor Lawal described drug abuse as a essential subject affecting youths nationwide, contributing to insecurity, social misconduct, and prison actions.

He stated the state authorities has sponsored many youths again to highschool and offered empowerment alternatives to advertise sustainable livelihoods.

“Abilities  acquisition, entrepreneurship help, sports engagement, and mentorship applications purpose to channel youthful power into productive ventures,” he stated.

Gov Lawal maintained that the federal government is working carefully with related businesses to develop sustainable options to the issue.

He urged college students and younger folks to stay targeted, promote accountable habits, and interact with authorities.
