BREAKING: El-Rufai arrives EFCC Headquarters Amidst Corruption Probe [PHOTO]

Former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, arrived on the {Economic} and {Financial} Crimes Fee (EFCC) headquarters in Abuja on Monday in reference to allegations levelled in opposition to him.

The previous governor’s arrival reportedly triggered rigidity on the company’s entrance, as safety personnel restricted entry for members of his entourage.

The incident led to a short commotion on the EFCC gate, with supporters of El-Rufai gathering close to the junction resulting in the fee.

In a video circulating on-line and obtained by Politics Nigeria, certainly one of his supporters accused the EFCC of dispersing their group with teargas whereas allegedly permitting anti-El-Rufai protesters to assemble close by.

The protesters have been seen calling on the EFCC to conduct a radical investigation into corruption claims linked to El-Rufai’s tenure as governor, in addition to his latest allegation that the telephone of the Nationwide Safety Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, had been tapped.

The EFCC, alongside the Unbiased Corrupt Practices and Different Associated Offences Fee (ICPC), is investigating corruption allegations related to El-Rufai’s administration in Kaduna State.

El-Rufai has repeatedly denied any wrongdoing, dismissing the probes as politically motivated persecution.
