Police recuperate 558 cattles from suspected cattle rustlers in Ekiti


The Fast Response Squad (RRS) of the Ekiti State Police Command has recovered a complete variety of 558 cattles from 16 suspected cattle rustlers.

Recall that Ekiti State Amotekun Corps, Oye Native Authorities Command arrested some suspects from Kwara State planning emigrate to Ekiti.

The suspects have been sighted of their numbers with their cattle round Gede Farm settlement in Isan-Ekiti which thrown the city into pandemonium.

This growth led to reinforcement of extra Amotekun operatives from their outpost to relocate to Oye the place their mixed efforts led to the profitable arrest of the suspects.

Upon interrogation, the suspects confessed that they fled from Kwara State to Ekiti State because of ongoing onslaught in opposition to banditry within the state, noting that they have been concerned in cattle rustling particularly from some Kwara indigenes who rear their cattle within the city.

In the midst of interrogation, sixteen suspects have been apprehended whereas some money, 7 techno telephones, number of charms, 3 VGN l.D playing cards, together with herds of cattle have been recovered from them.
