Nigerian Jailed 10 Years For Cocaine Trafficking

A 32-year-old Nigerian, Pascal Okafor Ezugwu, has been sentenced to 10 years’ imprisonment by a High Court in Accra for attempting to traffic 1.54 kilogramme of cocaine out of the country.

The convict was arrested at the Kotoka International Airport on suspicion and was later found in possession of 90 thumb-sized cocaine pellets which weighed 1.54 kg.

His conviction comes in the wake of the court finding him guilty of three counts of unlawful possession, attempted exportation of narcotic drugs and money laundering.
