Ganduje Praises Tinubu’s “Politics Without Bitterness,” Urges Unity in APC

From Noah Ebije, Kaduna

The National Chairman of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, has praised President Bola Tinubu’s leadership style, stating that it demonstrates “politics without bitterness.” He believes this approach will foster national unity and benefit all Nigerians.

Ganduje made these remarks on Monday in Kaduna at the first stakeholders meeting of the North West zone of the ruling party. He urged politicians to avoid “Pull Him Down Syndrome,” emphasizing that politics involves superior negotiation skills where the best ideas prevail.

“This is the first time a thoroughbred democrat and politician is leading our country as President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. So, we have no excuse to fail,” Ganduje said.

He commended President Tinubu’s decision to appoint members of opposition parties into key ministries and offices, highlighting it as a prime example of “politics without bitterness.”

“Politics is about superior negotiating skills, not pull him stunt; those who resulted to that in the past have had themselves to blame,” Ganduje stated. “The politics of raising men and women is what actually brought Asiwaju Bola Tinubu to the Presidency and that is a lesson we all must imbibe. If we come to support ourselves, rally around the President, build our party and develop our geopolitical zone to enviable height economically and politically, together we will reap the fruit of our labour.”

Ganduje further emphasized President Tinubu’s commitment to rebuilding Nigeria and ensuring it works for all its citizens. He urged party stakeholders to engage in massive sensitization of Nigerians on the administration’s efforts.

“We need peace and unity if we must achieve success in all our endeavours,” Ganduje stressed. “No seed of progress from Germany can grow where there is a crisis. We need to work as a team. If we work as a team, we will be able to attract the best to our domain, that is the North West zone. A house divided against itself cannot stand the test of time.”

He also addressed the issue of insecurity in the zone and the country, calling for collective action to protect lives and property.

“Enough is enough for the large-scale insecurity in some parts of the country including our own geopolitical zone,” Ganduje declared. “We must all work together to ensure the security of lives and property of our people. This is the cardinal objective of any government in power.”

Ganduje proposed a solution involving the establishment of a Forest Rapid Respond Squad stationed within forests, equipped with technology and infrastructure. This initiative aims to reclaim control of forests and combat banditry, kidnapping, and armed robbery.

“We must protest our forests,” Ganduje concluded. “We must train Forest Rapid Respond Squad that are stationed within the forests, with their houses and infrastructural facilities within the forests. We must train them, equip them and provide technology into our forests, so that, we can take over completely. If we succeed in doing that, then the issue of banditry, kidnapping and armed robbery, will be eventually resolved.”
