In a request for accountability, the Mines and Energy Committee of Parliament has tasked the Chief Executive Officer of the Minerals Income Investment Fund (MIIF), to provide details and supporting evidence regarding the government of Ghana’s expenditure of $12 million on the botched Agyapa Royalties deal.

This follows a disclosure by the CEO of MIIF, Edward Nana Yaw Koranteng, during an appearance before Parliament’s Public Accounts Committee that the government of Ghana spent $12 million on the suspended Agyapa royalties deal.
