Makeup artist's nose suddenly caves in after major surgery mistake

Robert Minasyan has paid the Botched doctors a serious visit after his nose suddenly caved in. His nasal tip has inverted after a major post-surgery mistake he made – and Dr. Nassif is not pleased.

Beverly Hills makeup artist Robert is forced to visit Dr. Paul Nassif and Dr. Terry Dubrow on Botched. His nose appeared to have an unusual hole on the tip after admitting he smoked a cigarette two days ago.

Robert Minasyan visits Botched docs

Beverly Hills celebrity makeup artist Robert Minasyan pays the Botched doctors a visit on the February 29 episode. With over 24 years of experience in the industry, Robert has accumulated 180K followers.

The doctors measured either side of the clients’ nose with tape before considering how they can help. Robert claims he didn’t smoke before surgery after E! viewers quizzed him in the preview comments.

Dr. Paul Nassif already says we “won’t believe the work” done in the episode, while Robert joked on Instagram that he will start a new trend for his caved-in nose.

He made major post-surgery no-no

Robert admits he was smoking two days before his Botched visit. Dr. Paul Nassif said, “What happens when you smoke is the nicotine constricts the blood vessels and decreases the blood flow.”

He added, “Decreased blood flow means decreased oxygen also. When that happens, you get dead skin and dead tissue. Most likely, that is the cause of the skin death.”

Dr. Terry Dubrow asked him, “Were you smoking while he was doing these surgeries on you?” Robert then responded, “He said you can smoke,” before Nassif claims the surgeon should “lose his license”.

Where Botched star is now

Robert shared a photo at an awards night in Beverly Hills featuring the same caved-in nose he had on Botched, just five days before his episode aired on E! Entertainment.

He appeared to be smoking in a photo in January 2024, months after filming, despite the doctors telling him the dangers of doing so soon after surgery. However, Robert seems to be happy with life.

The makeup artist wrote that he’s “always having fun and enjoying every second of my life,” even telling a fan he’s stopped smoking. The last Instagram post from before his nose caved in was in August 2022.
